We are shocked by the wars going on around us. Destructions and spiritual deterioration, the nature we witness getting lost for our descendants, aimless lives lived with „all the same” attitude, people exposed to manipulations. The film is a reflexion of the decaying but real side of the world, an outcry with hopeless yearning for peaceful human relations.
"For him the most integral point of freedom was now the liberty to choose death and nothing else, his instinct to preserve life having been blunted, leaving a sub-conscious desire to die flitting through his head. Being subjected to the mercy of others, dependence, humiliation, betrayal, and after this a little game in their miserable lives.'Postsoldier' is a reaction to the internal and external destruction wrought by war, the suppression of body and soul, the proliferation of cruel deeds and intentions. It is a reaction to chaos caused when the power of direction slips from your hands, when nature is made to disappear from the eyes of your descendants, to a life organised and manipulated around nihilism, all along longing for peaceful human relationships. It is my hope that the film finds its way to those who are struggling with similar doubts, and to those in the globalised world of business and media who sacrifice day after day human lives on the altar of Mammon."
