Péter tries in vain to follow the moral code of the Great Indian Book because things happen differently in real life. All his illusions and dreams are destroyed in the obstacle course of life. There is treachery and deception in the story, all in the name of friendship and comradery while Péter tries to reach Eldorado and put off the inevitable for a few hours adulthood.
