The main character of the film, Anna is a young woman with two children, happily married. They started to build a house but the inflation makes the progress slow and her husband loses his job in addition. Anna takes a job in a supermarket. Soon they find out Anna is pregnant again. It takes a long time for the young couple to make up their minds but due to financial difficulties, there is no other solution than an abortion. It is hard to accept for Anna: she is a born mother and would be happy to have even more children. Then she meets Teresa, a rich businesswoman, who cannot have a baby, and offers Anna to finance the completion of their house if they let her have a child. As Anna wants to give birth to the child, accepts the deal. Teresa does her best to make it easier for Anna to bear the time until delivery but as they coming closer, there are more and more clashes. Anna has terrible qualms of consience. Teresa make all the arrangements for the childbith but in the end she resigns the baby to her mother.
