The film is set in the Middle Ages, but this shouldn’t be taken seriously.
There is a country ruled by a half-witted king. But this is not especially unusual as here almost everybody is half-witted.
The main setting is the house of the Royal Cup Bearer.
The Royal Cup Bearer – an ordinary little man – is the main protagonist in this crazy world, where events of an ever more bewildering nature are let loose. Of course it all ends well in the end.
