The story about the horse dealer who gave up everything he had – his property, family, and in the end even his own life – to stand by the truth, has been readapted several times, based on Heinrich von Kleist. The play by István Tasnádi is also about Michael Kohlhaas, but is rendered in an unusual way: the story is told by the two horses ”who” caused the whole conflict. The stage play, directed by Árpád Schilling, takes place in 1540, in a given space, the brilliantly expanded space of ”Kamra”, the studio of the Katona József Theatre.
