Although they were approaching fifty years of age, and had no women, they seemed to be having a great time. They worked busily in the fields all day, but they always found some time to groom their spirits. On these occasions Lajos would lie down at the foot of the haystack and start drawing, while his brother, Sándor wrote poetry. Love poems… The sun has set, glowing like embers, Little crickets like chirring singers, The landscape-moon is filled with light, I am meeting a fairy ever so bright. I caress its soft shoulders’ curving lines, I whisper into her ears words of love inspired. She speaks not, but merely smiles at me, And says how beautiful this is.
