They had six daughters, and each one of them married a man of a different nationally. All six families sooner or later lost everything they had in this century (some in the World War, some in the current civil war). The eldest sister (the director's mother) and her husband set out on a journey: they go to Germany and Croatia to find their living brothers and sisters, to search for memories from the past.
