A still life, the film is the story of one night in thirty minutes. The main character, Barna (Győző Szabó) lives from insurance frauds. He delivers car wrecks to order. His headquarters are a dubious bar, where a mean but ardent Christian bartender (Lajos Kovács) is the middle-man between the customers (Gábor Losonczi, János Derzsi) and the tough scar-face guys who arrange the accidents (Csaba Pindroch, Sándor Badár, Zoltan Mucsi, András Fésős, István Homonai). Barna and his colleagues made a list of what speeds you need to crash your car at in order to make it a total wreck yet get out of it alive. They have to keep updating the list, but each of these corrections costs one of them his life. Last time it was Barna’s friend, Virgil, who turned out to have crashed too fast with a Lada. Barna learns of his death on the evening when the story starts, but right after this an order comes for a Lada. Steve (Csaba Pindroch), the only man who knows the precise yet not fatal speed for a Lada, left his updated list at home. Barna is haunted by the image of the dead Virgil, but eventually he accepts the new assignment and crashes against a lamp post at a crazy speed. He gets away with a scratch and Virgil rolls after him in a wheelchair.
