This day starts off just like any other: people and books come and go – familiar and new faces, stories. It’s always the same: Tibi, the grocer from the next stand, who never imagined that a romantic paperback would improve his sex life, JC, the local homeless, who always happens to be where he is not needed, the crazy bag-guy, selling stolen records, the old retired man, who steals books, the boy with the glasses, who is secretly in love with her, or Brigi’s mom, storming in at the least expected moments, wanting to solve her daughter’s problems right away. But Brigi longs for different faces, different stories. To her, the only acceptable world is the world of books – and dreams. The novels she reads, her daydreams and reality melt together, and occasionally Brigi finds herself in awkward situations. The man in the hat turns out to be quite different from whom Brigi would like to believe him, and when finally a nice, good-looking guy happens to come by, the only thing she learns about him is that most likely they will never meet again. A strange, agonized woman comes in the store, almost forcing Brigi to take her valuable special edition books for very little money. Among these expensive antique editions Brigi finds an unknown book that has no title.
