Eszter Nordin
Eszter Nordin was born in Budapest and emigrated to the United Kingdom with her family in 1969. She completed her education in the United States, at Pitzer College, with a B.A. degree in Fine Arts.
She started her professional career at the BBC in production and progressed from assistant director jobs to director within 6 years. She became a free-lance director in 1980, directing documentaries at first, for various British TV companies before moving into TV drama, directing continuous drama series for several years.
She returned to her native Hungary, after the polotical change, in the early nineties. She has been involved in directing, documentaries, live theatre, continuous drama series, as well as writing and translating plays for the screen and theatre. She formed her own production company, Media Mania, in 1997 and received several international awards for her documentary work, which she produced and directed.
